Irrigation Technician

Now hiring full time experienced irrigation technician crew members to join our team. Qualified candidates will have well rounded experience and knowledge in a variety of categories including construction installation, heavy machinery, and landscape and irrigation expertise. You will be responsible for various irrigation projects including installation of complete systems (spray and drip) from start to finish with multiple zones, maintenance of equipment for increased efficiency, and quick trouble shooting and immediate repairs if problems arise. You must be able to program controllers and timers, have electrical knowledge to keep systems operational, and know how to repair heads, rotors and breaks in the lines. This position will report to the project manager and will also include additional construction landscape tasks such as installing sod, mulch, trees and plants, grading and drainage, trenching, fencing, edging, installing pavers and other hardscape features. Irrigation Technician Skill Set Qualifications & Knowledge

• Install irrigation systems including spray and drip systems, fittings, piping, water meters, backflows
• Electrical knowledge in hooking up entire system and keeping in running efficiently
• Program controllers and timers and relay information to client
• Troubleshoot existing systems
• Repair heads, rotors, and breaks in line
• Ability to communicate to Water Department for necessary inspections
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, and trenching
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Position may include other landscape related duties

Irrigation Technician Job Requirements

• 1-year minimum experience in irrigation field (2 years preferred)
• Full time: Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work
• 8-10 hours day with the potential for overtime
• Ability to take direction from supervisor and work as a team to complete tasks at each site in a timely and efficient manner
• Motivated, on time, dependable, customer service orientated
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record will lead to an increase in pay
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of shift
• Must be able to work outdoors in the changing climate
• 3 job related references
