Landscape Irrigator – Walnut

Job Overview:

Nieves Landscape LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Irrigator to join our Public Spaces Division servicing the Walnut area. We are looking for an experienced individual who can work independently and has strong knowledge of commercial and municipal irrigation systems.

Schedule:

- Monday through Friday

- 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM daily

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of irrigation experience

- Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a valid California Driver’s License

- Must be able to work independently without supervision

- Must be able to complete and maintain tracking sheets and daily reports

- Experience troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems

- Ability to repair and program irrigation controllers

- 2-wire irrigation system knowledge preferred

- Knowledge of seasonal irrigation adjustments and standard landscape irrigation practices

- Ability to repair mainlines up to 3 inches

- Experience installing and repairing:

- Drip systems

- Rotators

- Pop-up sprinkler systems

- Strong troubleshooting skills for valves, sprinklers, controllers, and irrigation diagnostics

- Municipal/public works experience preferred, but not required

Preferred Certifications (not required):

- QWEL Certification preferred

- CIT Certification preferred

- Additional irrigation or landscape-related licenses/certifications are a plus

Responsibilities:

- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems in public landscape areas

- Program irrigation controllers and perform seasonal water management adjustments

- Install and repair various irrigation systems and components

- Ensure irrigation efficiency and proper system operation

- Maintain safe and professional work practices

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Compensation & Benefits:

- Starting pay at $23/hour and up, depending on experience
