Landscape Laborer

As a Landscape Laborer, you will be instrumental in supporting landscape projects through hands-on work, maintenance, and installation tasks. Duties

• Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to maintain healthy turf and vibrant landscapes
• Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, pruning, hedge trimming, and soil preparation
• Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including weed control, mulching, fertilizing, and seasonal clean-up
• Operate equipment such as excavators and snow plows during appropriate seasons to support construction or winter maintenance needs
• Assist with tree care including trimming, pruning, planting, and ensuring safety during all tree-related activities

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
• Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Ability to operate small machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree care practices is advantageous
• Prior experience in construction or outdoor maintenance roles is beneficial but not necessary; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key
