Duties

• Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
• Perform lawn care tasks like mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to keep outdoor spaces pristine
• Support landscape maintenance activities such as pruning and tree trimming.
• Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects
• Use equipment like excavators and other construction machinery to prepare sites for planting or hardscape installation
• Maintain gardens by watering, fertilizing, mulching, and controlling pests to promote healthy growth
• Conduct routine inspections of landscapes to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools effectively
• Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, tree care, irrigation systems, and gardening best practices
• Familiarity with landscaping construction processes including hardscape installation and site preparation
• Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently in various outdoor tasks
• Understanding of horticulture principles for plant health and landscape aesthetics
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in different weather conditions
• Attention to detail for maintaining high standards of landscape appearance and safety protocols
