Duties

• Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to maintain healthy turf
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, trimming trees and bushes, weed control, and mulching
• Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers) safely and effectively to complete daily tasks
• Support excavation projects using equipment like excavators for grading or trenching work
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and making necessary repairs or adjustments
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for properties and pathways

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and tools safely
• Experience with lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, trimming, mulching, and plant health care
• Familiarity with landscaping construction processes including hardscape installation and site preparation
• Ability to use hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers) efficiently
• Experience operating machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is a plus
• Understanding of tree care practices including trimming and tree health assessment
• Basic horticulture knowledge to support gardening activities and plant selection
• Ability to perform snow plowing operations safely during winter months
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail in maintaining property aesthetics and safety standards
