Landscape Laborer

Job Summary

Duties

• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep landscapes vibrant and healthy
• Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning trees and shrubs, and applying mulch or soil amendments
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, planting, and installing landscape features
• Support hardscape projects by preparing sites for pavers, retaining walls, or patios using excavators and other construction equipment
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removing dead or hazardous branches with proper techniques
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and making necessary adjustments to ensure proper watering
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients and team members

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
• Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred
• Ability to operate small machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and tree care techniques is advantageous
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently
• Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, irrigation systems, hardscape installation, and snow removal
