Duties

• Assist with landscape installation projects including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
• Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to ensure healthy and attractive lawns
• Maintain landscape features through pruning, tree trimming, and shrub shaping to promote growth and safety
• Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (weed whackers, blowers) safely and efficiently
• Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and turf
• Conduct snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians
• Assist with general site maintenance including debris removal, mulch spreading, and hardscape repairs using equipment like excavators when needed

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
• Prior experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is a plus
• Ability to operate small machinery such as excavators or other landscaping equipment is advantageous but not required
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety procedures while working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to learn about tree care techniques including pruning and trimming
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward supporting project goals
