Position Overview

U.S. Lawns of Denver is hiring a Gardener / Landscape Laborer to join our commercial landscape maintenance crew. We maintain apartment communities, office parks, retail centers, retirement communities, and other commercial properties throughout the Denver metro area.

This is a hands‑on outdoor position working alongside a Crew Leader performing mowing, trimming, clean‑ups, and general landscape maintenance and enhancement work.

Pay

$19 per hour for this role, which is for a general laborer/gardener on the truck.

Typical Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 10 hour shifts (but must be available to work flexible hours as required depending on the week or job)
• Fridays: Off day, unless needed for overtime, enhancement work, or snow operations (we often do work Fridays due to full schedule of work)

Responsibilities

• Mowing commercial properties
• String trimming, edging, and blowing
• Pruning of bushes and ornamental tree branches
• Landscape bed maintenance and hand weeding
• Spring and fall clean‑ups
• Assist with mulch installation, plantings, and other landscaping enhancement projects
• Debris removal and dumping
• Snow shoveling and ice melt application during winter months
• Must wear appropriate and required personal protective equipment (steel-toed boots, high visibility clothing, eye, hands, hearing protection)

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and complete an I-9 (and provide documents) for employment verification
• Able to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather, extreme heat and cold at times
• Ability to safely work with powerful landscaping equipment such as commercial mowers, power saws, trimmers, edgers, etc.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs
• Reliable transportation to the work yard (typical start time is 7AM)
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to complete Form I‑9
• Landscaping experience preferred but not required
