Are you a hard worker who enjoys spending time outdoors and is passionate about nature? We're looking for a Landscape Maintenance Associate to join our team at Native Gardeners. We're dedicated to installing and maintaining sustainable, pollinator-friendly gardens across DFW.

As a maintenance associate, you will work alongside our project manager maintain native-focused residential landscapes. Sometimes you'll join installations as well, helping bring newly-designed gardens to life.

This job can be physically demanding and requires working outside in varying weather conditions. We work hard, but we also believe in a positive team environment. You'll be part of a fun and supportive crew. You'll be planting and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces that help local ecosystems thrive, and you'll do it with a team that makes the workday enjoyable.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Pruning and shaping plants according to seasonal maintenance guidelines
• Removing weeds and invasive species
• Hauling off garden debris
• Planting flowers, shrubs, grasses, and small trees
• Connecting with clients to answer
• Moving landscaping materials by wheelbarrow
• Operating battery-powered landscaping tools (hedge trimmer, edger, mower)

Additional responsibilities include:

• Working occasional nursery shifts, especially to learn plants early-on
• Assisting with installations

Preferred but not required:

• Knowledge of native and adapted plant care and maintenance
• Ability to identify common pests and plant diseases
• Truck or SUV (will be compensated for use)
• Ability to tow a small trailer

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
