Position Summary

We are seeking a high-level Landscape Maintenance Department Manager to take full ownership of our maintenance division. This role is responsible for overseeing operations, people, quality, and financial performance of the department.

This is not just a management role—it’s a leadership position for someone who understands how to run a department, build strong teams, and drive growth. You will be expected to know the properties, manage routing and efficiency, develop crew leaders, and ensure Yardvarks’ standards are consistently executed in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
  • Build and manage crew schedules, routing, and efficiency
  • Ensure all properties meet Yardvarks’ quality standards
  • Train, develop, and mentor crew leaders and team members
  • Establish and reinforce processes and procedures in the field
  • Monitor job costing, labor, and department profitability
  • Identify opportunities for growth, improvements, and efficiency
  • Maintain strong communication between crews, office, and clients
  • Conduct site visits and quality control checks regularly
  • Hire, onboard, and develop team members to strengthen the department

Requirements

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance leadership or management
  • Strong understanding of routing, scheduling, and field operations
  • Experience managing teams and developing crew leaders
  • Ability to read and manage job costing, labor, and basic financials
  • High level of accountability, organization, and leadership
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance quality, efficiency, and team development
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
