Natural Earth is a different kind of landscaping company. Its founder started the community farm at Pomona College in Claremont, and Natural Earth was born from that project in sustainability. We design and install mostly residential properties, focusing on the higher end of the spectrum. We specialize in natives, edibles, artistic hardscape, rock work, and maintenance. We have been around for 15 years and getting better. Our work is mostly in Claremont area, from Rancho to Glendora, however we are picking up more work on the west side and expect to expand to that region with an office in the upcoming year.

Job Description:

Natural Earth is seeking a dependable laborer for our maintenance accounts to grow with our expanding business. Background and experience with California Natives, Sustainability, Permaculture, Organic gardening, Edible/Native Landscaping, and a clean driving record is a big plus. We are looking for a capable individual that can balance client needs, company needs and our maintenance schedule.

Teamwork is vital, communication and client relationships are as important as field work, so must be a people person. We are proud of our work, and care a lot about our clients. Looking for solid people for our solid team.

Job Duties:

- Works under the direction of the Supervisor to provide landscape maintenance services for various residential sites.

- Need to know and independently set the schedule of what needs to be done so that the job will continue to run as planned when the supervisor is not available.

- Ensures proper use and safe keeping of company resources and equipment.

- Master as many skills as possible through on-the-job-training, seminars and other continuing educational opportunities.

• Learn and follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Must have the ability to work at a pace, with a good attitude.

- Must have a minimum of 2 or more years experience in landscape or closely-related field.

- Must have a good understanding of landscape installation methods and techniques and the machinery, tools and labor needed to accomplish work.

- Interest in sustainable design is a plus.

- Must demonstrate a willingness and open-mind to learn.

- Must have effective communication and good social skills. Must maintain the philosophies of Natural Earth.

- Spanish is a plus.

Compensation:

- Hourly, to be negotiated.
