Landscape Maintenance Team Member

Positions available for landscape Maintenance team members.

Seeking detail oriented hard working individuals. Landscape experience is a must. Team environment, good hours even through winter.

The employee will provide quality service that meets or exceeds our customers and management’s expectations. The employee will show attention to detail and effectively communicate with peers and his/her superior. All employees will possess a friendly, customer service minded attitude and will conduct themselves in a professional manor. (Reports directly to Team Leader and Department Manager)

Daily/Weekly tasks:

1. Assist in daily preparation of trucks and equipment

• Load equipment, tools, and material.

• Secure all equipment.

• Assist Team leader in any preparation required for the day.

· Arrive on time everyday. Start time varies between 7:15am and 7:30am.

2. Perform landscape installation tasks on customers property

• Perform all tasks included but not limited to:
• Leaf and debris removal, bed edging and mulch/pine straw installation.
• Commercial equipment use i.e.Walk behind, zero turn and push mowers.
• Hand pulling weeds spraying weeds with non-selective herbicide and distributing pre-emergent granular.
• Hand Pruning
• Hard edge around side walks patios drive ways etc.
• Use blower for leaf removal and blowing of debris
• String trim around buildings, utilities, etc.
• Edge curbs and sidewalks with string trimmers.
• Clean site by removing trash, limbs, rocks, debris etc.
• Prune shrubs, remove shrubs and tree debris.
• Planting of trees, shrubs, perennial flowers and seasonal flowers.
• Plus much more!

3. End of the day/week equipment maintenance

• Unload equipment, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc. daily

• Wash equipment as directed by Team leader at least weekly.

• Check and top off oil, clean air filters, grease machines, etc.

Performance skills and qualifications:

• Carry 20lb. back pack blower on back.

• Must have experience/ ability to use various equipment throughout the day such as

string trimmers, edger’s, blowers, mowers, mowers, shears etc.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. plus

• Walk 6+ miles a day.

• Stoop, stand, walk and bend for 10 hours or more a day.

• Lift branches and limbs.

• Basic understanding of mechanical and equipment maintenance

* * Must be willing to do manual labor each day including but limited to digging with a shovel, push a wheel borrow full of aggregate, bending lifting and working as a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:
