Landscape Mechanic Shop/Mobile

Schedule: Full-time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Reports to: Operations Manager/Owner

About the Role

We’re looking for a dependable Mobile/Shop Mechanic to keep our fleet and equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll split time between field service (mobile repairs) and shop work, handling everything from routine maintenance to diagnostics and repairs on diesel trucks, gas trucks, small engines, and landscape equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas-powered trucks (light/medium duty)
• Perform preventative maintenance: oil changes, brakes, steering/suspension, cooling systems, belts/hoses, tune-ups, etc.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues (starting/charging, lights, wiring, basic electrical diagnostics)
• Repair and maintain small engines and landscape equipment (Zsprays, Steel Green, trimmers, blowers, edgers, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, skid steers, and mini skid steers/dingos
• Handle hydraulic and PTO troubleshooting/repairs where applicable
• Perform mobile service calls to job sites to minimize downtime
• Complete work orders, document parts/labor, and communicate repair status clearly
• Maintain a clean, safe shop and follow all safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a mechanic working on:
• Diesel trucks
• Gas trucks
• Small engine repair
• Heavy equipment (front-end loaders, skid steers, dingos/mini skid steers)
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently in the field
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and fleet uptime priorities
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus, not required)

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience with trailers and hydraulic systems
• Welding/fabrication skills
• DOT inspection knowledge/experience

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
