Landscape Planning and Urban Forest Manager

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and management of City's landscapes, streetscapes, open spaces and urban forest resources
- Sustain visual appealing public environments
- Supervise Horticulture staff in beautification projects and their maintenance
- Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and the commmunity
- Use GPS and GIS technology, including ArcGIS, and other Ipad applications
- Assist in City storm disater operations

Requirements:
- Valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License (Class A preferred)
- ISA Arborist Certification
- Pesticide Category # Applicator's License
- Experience in data collection, GPS, GIS technology, and analysis skills
- Experience in landscape design, installation, and use of tools and equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness for working outdoors in various weather conditions -

Note: Experience in urban forestry, or other related fields are a plus.

• Catergory 3 Pesticide Applicator’s License (Preferred)
