Position Overview

Braun Construction is seeking a Landscape / Restoration Foreman to lead field operations for our Chumbley / Cottonwood environmental restoration projects.

This role will lead a small crew performing wetland mitigation, invasive species removal, and habitat restoration at sites in Southwest Washington, including a boat-access island site on the Columbia River near Kalama, WA and a site near Woodland, WA.

This is a hands-on leadership position—you will be working alongside your crew daily while managing production, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a field crew performing landscaping and restoration activities
  • Plan daily work tasks, assign responsibilities, and ensure production goals are met
  • Perform and oversee invasive species removal (blackberry, reed canary grass, iris, etc.)
  • Supervise herbicide application operations (backpack and ATV spraying)
  • Operate and oversee use of equipment including:
  • Tractor with brush hog
  • Skid steer with mowing attachments
  • ATVs and UTVs
  • Ensure all safety requirements and PPE standards are followed at all times
  • Work with crew on planting, seeding, mulching, and erosion control installation
  • Mobilize and coordinate crew and equipment to remote job site locations
  • Coordinate daily transport to island jobsite (crew boat; operator experience is a plus)
  • Perform basic equipment inspection, maintenance, and field repairs as needed
  • Track progress and communicate with project management

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required)
  • 2–5+ years of landscaping, restoration, or construction experience
  • Prior crew lead or foreman experience preferred
  • Experience with invasive species control and herbicide application strongly preferred
  • Pesticide Applicator License (OR or WA, Aquatic preferred) a strong plus
  • Experience operating landscaping or light construction equipment
  • Ability to read plans and follow scope requirements (preferred)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Job Location & Schedule

  • Projects located in SW Washington (Kalama & Woodland areas)
  • Work performed on remote island (boat access provided daily)
  • Typical schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4x10-hour days
  • Overtime as needed based on production and weather

Pay: $31.13 - $38.00 per hour
