Job Description:
Grow Landscapes, a premier design-build firm specializing in luxury swimming pools, outdoor living spaces, and complex structures such as pool houses and pavilions, is seeking a Landscape Architect / Designer / Sales Representative to join our dynamic team.

This is a sales-driven design role: you’ll lead clients through a high-end experience, from initial consultation to signed contract, while shaping their vision into detailed, buildable concepts. We’re looking for a professional who thrives on relationship building and translating creative ideas into real projects.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Leadership

  • Respond to incoming leads from high-end residential and commercial clients, guiding them through consultations and securing commitments.
  • Present creative, customized design proposals that inspire clients while aligning with vision and budget.
  • Build and nurture relationships with architects, builders, and industry professionals to generate referrals and new business.
  • Leverage networking, targeted outreach, and site visits to expand your pipeline.
  • Overcome objections by educating clients on value, design quality, and long-term investment rather than competing only on price.

Design & Technical Support

  • Create bespoke designs for landscapes, pools, outdoor living spaces, and specialty structures.
  • Prepare preliminary drawings and collaborate with internal teams to ensure practicality and buildability.
  • Provide guidance on materials, methods, and project feasibility.

Estimating & Proposal Support (Sales-Oriented)

  • Conduct take-offs and prepare sales estimates that allow clients to understand cost ranges and options.
  • Review incoming plans and convert them into clear, compelling proposals.
  • Support construction teams with occasional site visits to ensure alignment between design, budget, and execution.

Pipeline & Performance

  • Maintain a healthy, proactive pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Deliver strong closing ratios and meet/exceed sales goals.
  • Track opportunities and forecasts, reporting regularly on performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Design, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in high-end residential/commercial landscape design and sales.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software (Lumion/3D rendering a plus).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with proven success in closing deals.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits in Northern Virginia/DC metro area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
