We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales & Operations, Bookkeeper to join our team! Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for sales transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and operational expenses using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations regularly to ensure data integrity across all financial accounts.
- Prepare and process journal entries, including debits & credits, to reflect daily transactions accurately in the general ledger.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures by reconciling balance sheets and preparing financial reports aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage payroll processing and related tax filings while ensuring compliance with governmental accounting standards.
- Support budgeting activities by analyzing account data and preparing relevant reports for management review.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and account analysis.
- Contribute to internal audits by providing detailed account analysis and supporting documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with teams to improve bookkeeping workflows and implement best practices in technical accounting procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices.
- Experience with GAAP compliance, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and double entry bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Skilled in bank reconciliation processes and bank statement analysis.
- Ability to perform payroll tasks accurately along with tax experience related to payroll filings.
- Familiarity with governmental reporting requirements and financial report writing.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus.
