Landscape Specialist

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED employee to perform landscaping and lawn and facility maintenance for a privately owned company with multiple Gulf Coast locations. Job responsibilities include tree maintenance, weed eating, mowing (riding mower and tractor), use of all gardening tools, landscaping, facility maintenance, etc. We have year-round work available.

Position reports ON-SITE in the Tillman's Corner/Grand Bay area of Mobile, Alabama.

Responsibilities:

• Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns
• Weeding and mulching landscape beds
• Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs
• Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees
• Planting shrubs, flowers and trees
• Watering gardens, lawns and landscapes
• Monitoring and maintaining plant health

Qualifications:

• 5+ years previous experience REQUIRED
• Valid driver's license is required
• Must have a clean MVR
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must be a proactive self-starter
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces. Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and exhibit manual dexterity.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, weedeaters, edgers, etc.
• This position is very active with significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching overhead, lifting handling, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs frequently and more occasionally.
• Most work is outdoors and subject to extreme weather conditions.
