Landscape Technician (Commercial Construction)

Timberline Landscaping, LLC is an award-winning company serving Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas, “Creating your little bit of Heaven” for over 40 years. We offer a full range of services, including landscape design, construction, and maintenance.

Landscape Technicians work with a team on landscape projects to ensure client satisfaction, utilizing their training and skills to present excellent service. During the winter season, employees will be able to work snow removal and/or Christmas Décor, or other units as needed.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist with grading of site
• Installation of plant material and/or sod
• Installation of aggregate material and/or edging
• Installation of retaining walls, patios and/or walkways
• Installation of rock, mulch, pavers, water features
• Reading and execution of landscape design plan
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Workplace Environment

• Must be comfortable working with digging equipment/tools; Irrigation systems are installed underground and must be excavated to specified depths
• Exposure to dust, grease, noise, and chemical vapors – PPE is provided
• Outdoor working conditions in all weather conditions; must be able to work in extremely hot and cold temperatures
Frequently lift and/or move objects up to
• -50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects over 50 (use of lifting equipment or 2-person lift over 50lbs)
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching, stooping, and standing

• Have reliable transportation to/from office and/or job site
• Must be able to interact with customers in a professional manner
• Secure all materials and equipment needed, keep in good condition
• Must be punctual, responsible and have a positive, can-do attitude
• Demonstrate dependability and efficient work practices
• Must be able to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• All team members help and support other departments when necessary
