Landscape/Construction Crew Lead

The Crew Lead Role is a ‘working lead’ who directs crew members and operates equipment used to safely accomplish daily production Goals.

Crew Lead Responsibilities:

· Review daily work orders and verify materials loaded are what is needed for the daily assignment.

· Coordinate and monitor daily work tasks, performance and productivity of 2-4 person crew to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained.

· Follow Company and Project Safety Standards and be a role model of safety among crew members, including the proper use of machinery and equipment and resolve problems when they arise to ensure a safe working environment.

· Supervise and encourage crew members. Promote and demand an environment of mutual respect.

· Monitor and report project progress, risks and concerns to Estimator/Project Manager.

· Maintain positive relationship with customers and clients.

· Promote positive public relations and image.

· Communicate to mechanic ASAP (no later than by end of day) for any repair or maintenance issues for vehicles and equipment

· Maintain proper housekeeping at shop, at jobsites, with vehicles and equipment.

· Install silt fencing, erosion control blankets, sod and various other erosion control products.

Requirements for Crew Lead Position:

· At least 21 years old

· A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record, CDL preferred

· Pass a Drug Screen

· Pass a Background Check

· Ability to communicate/follow instructions

· Hydroseeding and Landscaping experience is helpful

Experience:

  • driving crew-cab truck with a trailer loaded: 1 year (preferred)
  • working in Landscaping or Construction: 1 year (preferred)
  • operating Heavy Equipment such as mini ex or Skid Steer: 1 year (preferred)

  • Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma

Pay Rate: based on experience, certification and CDL. Higher pay range must have Class A CDL
