Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and innovative Landscape/Horticulture Engineer with expertise in creating 3D landscape designs and a strong knowledge of both indoor and outdoor plants. The ideal candidate will possess a creative flair, technical design skills, and a deep understanding of horticulture, enabling them to transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create detailed 3D landscape designs for residential, commercial, and public spaces.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements.
- Select appropriate plants, materials, and design elements that align with the project goals and local climate conditions.
- Incorporate sustainable landscaping practices and water-efficient designs where applicable.
- Provide comprehensive plant care plans for both indoor and outdoor vegetation.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure design execution aligns with project specifications.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in landscape design and horticulture.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil conditions, drainage, and sunlight exposure to inform design decisions.
- Prepare detailed BOQ, project proposals, budgets, and timelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in 3D design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino, or equivalent tools.
- Strong knowledge of indoor and outdoor plants, including their growth requirements, maintenance, and compatibility with various environments.
- Familiarity with landscape construction processes and materials.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.
- Understanding of sustainable and eco-friendly landscaping practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Landscape Design or Horticulture.
- Experience with augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) tools for design presentation.
- Familiarity with local and regional plant species, landscape lighting.
