Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. This role involves maintaining gardens, performing groundskeeping tasks, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of various landscapes. The Landscape Technician will play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens by planting, watering, and fertilizing plants to promote healthy growth.
• Perform tree trimming and pruning to enhance the appearance and health of trees.
• Operate equipment for snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties.
• Dig and prepare soil for planting, ensuring proper conditions for plant health.
• Conduct regular groundskeeping tasks including mowing lawns, edging, and weeding.
• Assist in hardscape installation such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Implement irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use for landscape maintenance.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary.

Skills

• Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, irrigation, and groundskeeping.
• Experience with tree trimming and hardscape installation is preferred.
• Ability to operate landscaping tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics in landscape design.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
