Duties

• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep lawns healthy and vibrant
• Maintain landscape features including planting beds, shrubs, trees, and flower displays with precision pruning and trimming
• Operate hand tools and power equipment like trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently
• Utilize construction equipment such as excavators for site preparation or hardscape installation projects
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for diverse plantings
• Execute landscape maintenance routines including mulching, fertilizing, and pest control to promote plant health
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to outdoor spaces in all seasons

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping machinery and hand tools
• Expertise in lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, fertilization, and aeration
• Experience with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, planting, and soil preparation
• Knowledge of hardscape construction including patios, walkways, retaining walls and other outdoor structures
• Familiarity with tree care practices like trimming, pruning, planting and health assessment
• Ability to operate equipment such as excavators safely on construction sites or landscape projects
• Proficiency in irrigation system installation and troubleshooting for efficient water management
• Understanding of horticulture principles to support sustainable gardening practices
• Skilled in snow plowing operations to maintain clear pathways during winter weather conditions
• Capable of working with various power tools safely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety standards
