Job Overview
Tommy Todd Landscape & Design is looking for an experienced landscape professional who has a variety of experience as a hardscape, irrigation, and/or drainage installer. We design and install projects for residential and small commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be someone who has the skills, knowledge, and physical ability to work in the demanding outdoor conditions of west central Florida.

Duties

• Plant Material installation - from large trees and palms to shrubs, groundcovers, and seasonal flower plantings.
• Gravel, mulch, landscape edging, stepping stones, and sod installation
• Irrigation and Drainage installation - From new systems to rebuilds and small repairs and service
• Hardscape installation - paver installation for driveways, patios, and pool decks. Retaining Wall Installation
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping projects.
• Operate machinery such as skid steer loaders, sod cutters, and other specialized landscape equipment.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular cleaning and servicing.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating power tools and landscaping equipment.
• General knowledge of Central Florida plant materials commonly used in landscape design and installations
• General experience in landscape installation required. Candidates with experience in hardscape, irrigation, and drainage work will be ideally suited for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks effectively throughout the day.
• Experience driving trucks and trailers.
• A valid driver's license from the State of Florida subject to MVR approval from our auto insurance carrier required for position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
