Landscaper & Garden Designer

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented landscaper to help bring our new 5.5-acre garden center to life! This role involves designing, selecting, sourcing, installing and maintaining plants across our property—creating beautiful, thriving spaces that inspire.

We’re a small, flexible team where you’ll have the chance to own projects, shape the look of our grounds and grow something wonderful from the ground up.

This is a flexible position that could be full-time or part-time for the right person.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement landscape projects throughout the 5.5-acre property.
• Complete planting designs and request plants as needed for projects.
• Plant and maintain display gardens in a tidy, attractive and healthy manner.
• Identify and treat pests or diseases as needed using approved methods.
• Collaborate with the team to plan future plantings, displays and garden features.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good working order.
• Keep outdoor work areas clean, organized and visually appealing.
• Follow all safety standards and report accidents or hazards immediately.
• Assist teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hands-on landscaping or horticultural experience preferred; design experience a plus.
• Knowledge of native and regional plants and general landscape techniques.
• Aquatic plant knowledge or experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and execute projects independently.
• Uses tools and equipment safely, carefully and responsibly.
• Must be 18+, legally permitted to work in the U.S. and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., email) for team communication.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• The position involves year-round indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions, including hot summers and cold winters.
• Greenhouse and garden work may occur in temperatures exceeding 100°F.
• Regular physical activity is required, including standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (e.g., plants, soil, tools and equipment).
• Some tasks may be performed at varying heights (e.g., using ladders).
• Frequent wet conditions due to ponds, aquatic plants and watering.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
