Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle. Must be able to drive a truck with a trailer hauling lawn equipment. If have a vehicle that is capable of towing, there will be additional pay. Must be able to pass a background check.

This role is for Northeast Florida areas (Duval, Clay, Nassau, and St. John’s Counties). We are seeking a reliable, motivated and energetic Landscaper to join our dynamic team servicing residential and commercial spaces. This is a 1099 contractor role with consistent work and flexible scheduling. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing landscapes through a variety of tasks, ensuring that each project meets high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize diverse tools and equipment, and contribute to creating inviting outdoor environments for clients and communities alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, blowing, and edging.
• Maintain landscaping beds.
• Identify and report lawn or irrigation issues.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, weeding, aerating, and other landscaping tasks.
• Operate lawn machinery.
• Complete jobs efficiently and to quality standards.
• Maintain clean and professional job sites.
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and health assessments to promote healthy growth.
• Assist with landscape installation projects such as planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features like patios or walkways.
• Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and beauty of outdoor spaces while adhering to safety standards.
• Skills
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools.
• Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and irrigation management.
• Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, trimming, planting, and garden care.
• Knowledge of hardscape construction including the use of power tools and hand tools for stonework or paving projects.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
• Excellent skills in using landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, snow plows, and irrigation systems.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures when handling construction machinery or working with potentially hazardous materials.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and weather conditions.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs, bend, kneel, and squat.
• Must be able to operate lawn care equipment including but not limited to zero turn mowers, gas leaf blower, edger, trimmer, pole saw, and chainsaw.
• Must sign a non-compete
• Must pass a background check

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance and licensing requirements.

Position will be paid on a weekly basis.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
