A Landscape Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the development of outdoor spaces such as parks, gardens, campuses, residential areas, and commercial properties. The role involves integrating natural and built environments to create functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing landscapes that meet client needs and comply with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed landscape designs for public and private projects.
- Prepare drawings, renderings, models, and presentations using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit).
- Integrate environmental sustainability principles, such as native planting, stormwater management, and low-impact design.
Project Management
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the design and construction process.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare construction documents, planting plans, grading plans, and material specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from authorities.
Construction Oversight
- Oversee landscape installation to ensure quality and adherence to design intent.
- Conduct site visits and provide solutions to on-site issues.
- Evaluate maintenance requirements and post-occupancy performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Professional registration or licensure (e.g., RLA, ASLA membership) preferred or required, depending on region.
- Proven experience in landscape design, planning, or site development.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong design and visualization skills.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Lumion, Revit, Adobe Suite, GIS, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of horticulture, ecology, and site engineering.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable design and green infrastructure.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
- Project management and documentation proficiency.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
