Landscaping Branch Manager

Sugarloaf Landscaping is hiring for a full-time 1099 Crew Lead / Manager-track role for our Massachusetts branch. This position is for someone who can step in and work in the field first, prove they are reliable and capable, and grow into managing day-to-day crew operations. In the beginning, this role is hands-on and labor-focused. Over time, the right person will be expected to take on more responsibility in leadership, job oversight, and helping keep the branch running smoothly.

Only one person will be brought on for this role, and that person will be expected to meet the standards and expectations of the position as they grow within it.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on landscaping and lawn care work including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, planting, and cleanup
• Assist with residential landscaping projects and general property maintenance
• Safely operate hand tools, power equipment, and other basic landscaping equipment
• Help with loading, unloading, moving materials, and maintaining an organized work setup
• Work directly alongside the owner while learning company standards and expectations
• Show leadership ability in the field through reliability, work quality, communication, and decision-making
• As trust is earned, begin helping manage crews, job flow, and daily operations for the Massachusetts branch

Qualifications:

• Prior landscaping, lawn care, outdoor labor, or crew leadership experience preferred
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be dependable, punctual, hardworking, and able to set the tone on a job site
• Must be able to take direction well at first, then grow into leading others
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation strongly preferred

Pay & Position Details:

• Full-time position
• 1099 contractor role
• Bi-weekly pay
• Pay based on experience, work ethic, and leadership ability
