Landscaping Crew Supervisor

Job Summary

Small local business seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscape Crew Member Supervisor, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, including gardens, lawns, and other landscapes. Duties may include planting, watering, pruning, weeding, mowing lawns and more. in addition to overseeing and directing crew in alignment with business and customer expectations. The Landscaper will also be expected to operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor environments are essential qualities for this role. Responsibilities

• Perform general landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Utilize hand tools and machinery to maintain gardens and landscapes effectively.
• Assist in tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and aesthetics.
• Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers as needed.
• Build and maintain garden beds, pathways, and other landscape features.
• Ensure proper care of plants through watering, fertilizing, and pest control measures.
• Maintain cleanliness of job sites by removing debris and waste materials.
• Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and performing tasks in various weather conditions.
• Oversee and guide crew based on job type, expectation set by the company and anticipated desired outcome from client.
• Able to enforce company guidelines and standards
• Coordinate work duties to ensure efficient crew performance.
• Monitor job progress and report status to management
• Supervise, lead and potentially train existing or new crew

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge is preferred for maintaining tools and equipment used in landscaping tasks.
• Experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is a plus.
• Familiarity with lawn care techniques and plant care best practices.
• Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power equipment safely.
• Strong physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks throughout the day.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance
• Valid drivers license
• Strong communication and team-leading skills
• Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
