Laparoscopic Nurse -OT

Seeking Experienced Candidates.

Minimum 1 Year and above experience needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing, GNM, BSc, or Post BSc.
• Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC) registration is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with laparoscopic instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure proper functioning and sterilization of laparoscopic instruments (trocars, camera, scopes, light source, insufflator, electrosurgical unit, etc.).
• Assist the surgical team with patient positioning and ensuring safety measures.
• Perform instrument counts and ensure availability of all laparoscopic consumables.
• Set up and manage laparoscopic tower and camera systems before and during surgery.
• Maintain sterile field and follow strict aseptic techniques.
• Assist the surgeon intra-operatively with camera holding, instrument handling, and equipment adjustments.
• Monitor insufflation parameters and troubleshoot laparoscopic equipment issues during surgery.
• Coordinate with biomedical and CSSD for equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Handle specimens correctly and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Anticipate surgical needs and provide instruments and items promptly.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during pre-op and post-op phases as assigned.
• Document intra-operative procedures, instrument usage, and equipment issues accurately.
• Follow infection control protocols and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Support the team during emergency conversion from laparoscopy to open surgery.
• Participate in staff training, equipment updates, and competency assessments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,464.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
