Large Format Printer Operator

Position Summary:

The Large Format Print Operator will be capable of operating the department’s related production equipment to provide high quality product to company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate inkjet and UV flatbed production printers
• Ensures equipment setup correct for each job
• Works with manager to ensure best production practice
• Ensures best use/yield of material used
• Performs routine maintenance and repair
• Performs other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills

• UV Flatbed printer operation

• The ideal candidate should have experience with Swiss Q Impala or equivalent printers

• Large format printer operation
• Knowledge and use of Caldera
• Knowledge and use of Illustrator
• 2-5 years print shop experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized and clean
• Identify and solve problems
• Able to read, write and speak English

Required Education

• Associates degree preferred or High School Diploma/GED
• Familiar with a variety of graphic design applications, RIPs and color management software.
• Caldera and Illustrator software program use preferred

Shifts & Schedule

• Often varying shifts and schedules are required to meet our customer’s needs. This may require shift changes, weekends and overtime.

Physical Requirements:

• It is common to walk and stand for the duration of the entire shift while bending, kneeling, reaching or crouching to commonly lift 5-15 pounds with the occasional requirement to lift or move up to 40 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
