Job Summary:

To cut and sort materials for production needs.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Use of standard industry tools and machinery.

Select and load material for processing from high-density storage racking using safe forklift operation.

Adjust laser fixtures, assist gas and CNC controls according to job-specific requirements.

Upload program files and make basic programming adjustments as necessary.

Monitor laser operation to ensure cut quality and equipment performance.

Read and interpret production drawings and engineering aids.

Use precision measurement tools to check for dimensional part accuracy.

Prepare product for the next step in the production process by checking for defects and/or cosmetic appearance.

Perform standard kitting and delivery of parts to downstream departments while maintaining machine uptime.

Make routine decisions and use analytical strategies to resolve nonconformance issues.

Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions.

Perform all essential functions within quality requirements.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Follow all required safety procedures.

Report and document equipment malfunctions to Maintenance and direct supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to operate equipment with computers and technical capabilities.

Knowledge of programing CNC machinery.

Ability to follow established SOP's and Work Instructions

Must know simple math and decimal to fraction conversions

Ability to set up machine as required

Must be able to follow directions and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Must be able to read a tape measurer.

Must be detail-oriented and thorough.

Ability to complete required paperwork accurately.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Safety-conscious behavior.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Manufacturing experience is required

Use of CNC or precision machinery is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing.

Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
