CAFMA is hiring Lateral Firefighters.

The hiring process includes an online assessment and a practical assessment followed by two panel interviews.

Eligibility:

• One year of full-time, paid firefighter experience with a career fire department is required. Must have successfully completed the initial probationary period with their current agency at the time of selection.
• Must possess valid IFSAC or Pro Board accredited Firefighter I & II certifications or NFPA equivalent.
• Must possess a minimum of Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations (24-hour) certification with an IFSAC or Pro Board seal or NFPA equivalent.
• Current National Registry and State Department of Health Service (AZ DHS) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic. Candidates without AZ DHS certifications will be required to obtain their AZ DHS EMT or Paramedic Certification prior to the successful completion of the academy.
• Current Healthcare Provider Level CPR Certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License and maintain a driving record that supports the ability to operate an Agency vehicle.

STARTING ANNUAL SALARY RANGE:

Firefighter/EMT $63,959 - $68,514 / annually
Firefighter/Medic $78,959 - $83,514 / annually

Salary for laterals will depend on years of experience. Wages are pending board approval.
