Key Responsibilities
-
Patrol assigned areas by vehicle, bicycle, or foot to maintain public safety.

Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.

Conduct criminal investigations and gather evidence.

Enforce traffic and criminal laws.

Engage with the community to solve problems and build trust.

Provide first aid and emergency response services.

Prepare reports and testify in court.
Required
Minimum Qualifications:

Colorado POST Basic Certification or Provisional Certification (or ability to obtain prior to hire).

Minimum of one (1) year of full-time law enforcement experience.

Successful completion of a field training program.
-
Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain a Colorado license).

Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire.
Education

High school diploma or GED.

60 semester hours of college credit.

(Waiver available with agreement to complete within five years; tuition assistance provided)
