Lathe Machine Operator

• Set up and operate manual lathes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Select appropriate tools, materials, and speeds for machining
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools
• Document production data and maintain records
• Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
• Proven experience as a lathe operator or machinist
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic math and computer skills
• Knowledge of machining principles and materials
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts if needed
