Laundry Attendant

OVERVIEW:

Ellicott Hotels is seeking a highly motivated individual who has an eye for detail to join our team as a laundry attendant. You will play a key role at our Wingate Ellicottville Hotel located at 11 Mill St Ellicottville, NY 14731. In this role, you will maintain and provide a clean, inviting, and well-kept laundry room. Ensure that guest linens are cleaned, sorted and restocked daily; while maintaining total guest satisfaction. The ideal work schedule would be 5 days a week starting at 12:30pm with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (To include but not limited to)

-Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. This includes operation of a commercial washer and dryer. Operate all laundry machines and add designated chemicals in accordance with specified amounts, times, and temperatures for each particular load.

-Collects, sorts, treats, and cleans dirty/stained terry linen. Maintain continuous inventory of discard items.

- Fold, stack, and store terry/linen within established guidelines. Check the cleanliness and condition of articles while processing through the machines. Separate damaged/stained articles.

- Maintains a cleaned, organized laundry room while remembering to remove all debris on the floors after sorting.

- Maintain and secure inventory of all linen, terry, housekeeping and chemical products at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Must be available weekends, holidays, and nights. Days off ideally would be Wednesday and Thursdays

- Must be comfortable with constant standing/reaching/bending/pushing/pulling through a standard workday, as periods of walking.

-Ability to effectively communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to ensure understanding.

-Willingness to take pride in job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

-Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

-Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
