Laundry Attendant/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service at the cashier station
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently
• Manage cash handling procedures with integrity and attention to detail
• Assist customers with product demos, upselling opportunities, and answering questions about services offered
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas, including stocking supplies and ensuring proper product merchandising
• Handle phone inquiries with excellent etiquette, providing information or directing calls appropriately
• Support retail sales efforts through effective communication skills and engaging customer interactions
• Ensure all laundry items are properly tagged, sorted, and processed in accordance with company standards

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are a plus
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is advantageous
• Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory counts, and sales calculations
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as upselling and merchandising strategies
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking and attention to detail
• Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including one's own bodyweight
• Comply with all policy and procedures.
