We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Laundry Manager to oversee our laundry operations, ensuring top-quality service and operational efficiency.

Job Summary

The Laundry Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the laundry department, from overseeing staff to ensuring equipment maintenance and delivering high-quality laundry services. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining hygiene and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Supervise, train, and schedule laundry staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company standards.
• Operations Oversight: Manage daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Quality Control: Ensure all laundry meets hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation standards. Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of laundry supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Order supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Budget Management: Control operational costs, including labor and supplies, to stay within budget while maintaining service quality.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Customer Service: Address client or guest concerns promptly and ensure high customer satisfaction with laundry services.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on laundry operations, staff performance, and inventory status to upper management.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to laundry processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in laundry operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality management or laundry operations are a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and reporting purposes.
• Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Other: Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment

• The role is based in Ajman, UAE, and may require working in a fast-paced, high-volume laundry facility.
• The candidate may need to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours based on operational needs.
