Laundry Attendant Job Description

Clemson Vacation Rentals is a vacation rental property management company located in the Upcountry of South Carolina. We are currently looking to add a Laundry Attendant to work with our team in Seneca.

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for receiving, checking, cleaning, organizing, and distributing linens to housekeepers and other staff.

This is a part-time position working within our laundry and linen facility in Seneca. The duties and requirements include but are not limited to the following:

Essential Functions

• Placing and organizing linens in appropriate areas for housekeepers.
• Receiving linen bags/bins and keeping counts.
• Collecting soiled linen bags from housekeepers and reporting if bags are missing.
• Wash, dry, fold, and bag linens
• Stain treatment when necessary
• Delivering linens during urgent situations.
• Making linen bags.
• Assisting housekeepers when necessary.
• Tracking weekly inventory of all linens, consumables inventory (i.e., toilet paper, soaps, etc.)
• Communicating with the cleaners
• Preparing and packaging fresh linen
• Other duties as assigned Qualifications
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel materials, reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push heavy carts without assistance.
• Noise level in the environment is usually moderate and can be heavy when washers are in operation.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to take specialty or urgent items to cleaners in the field as well as manage the process of getting specialty items returned in a timely manner
• Able to work flexible hours and days with some nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience in Laundry operations (Preferred)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• US work authorization (Required)

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: From $12.50 per hour
