Job Title: Laundry Salesman

Jey ResponsibilitiesGarment Handling & Washing

• Sort laundry by color, fabric type, stain level, and wash category.
• Load and unload washing machines efficiently to maximize daily capacity.
• Set wash programs according to item type (delicate, cotton, mixed load, uniforms, abayas, kandoras, hotel linens, etc.).
• Measure and use the correct detergents, softeners, disinfectants, and spot treatments.
• Handle delicate items with extra care and follow special washing instructions.

Quality Control

• Inspect items before washing to identify stains, damages, or special requirements.
• Pre-treat stains using approved chemicals and spotting techniques.
• Check washed items for stains, odors, or incomplete cleaning.
• Ensure garments are washed without shrinking, discoloring, or fabric damage.

Machine Operation & Maintenance

• Operate industrial washers, dryers, and heat-pump dryers safely.
• Monitor machine performance and report issues to the supervisor.
• Clean machine lint filters, drums, and surrounding areas daily.
• Ensure proper water and chemical levels before each cycle.

Workflow & Coordination

• Coordinate with the pressman, folder, and driver team to maintain workflow.
• Meet daily washing targets (e.g., 150kg per day depending on shift).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the washing area.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a washman in a commercial laundry.
• Knowledge of fabrics, wash programs, and stain-removal techniques.
• Ability to operate industrial washing machines and dryers.
• Understanding of chemical dilution and safety procedures.
• Good physical stamina (standing, lifting, loading).
• Basic communication skills (English or Hindi/Urdu).
• Punctual, disciplined, and reliable.
