LAUSD In-Person K-12 Tutor

Job Summary

Tutors support students in Math and English Language Arts within the Los Angeles Unified School District. Tutors work with small groups of 3–5 students, using curriculum and materials provided by Thrive Academics to deliver clear, engaging, and effective instruction.

Tutors track student progress through our internal system, maintain a positive learning environment, and communicate regularly with school coordinators and office staff to ensure continuity and student success.

Thrive Academics offers two tutoring opportunities based on school needs and tutor availability: a set-schedule tutor role with consistent weekly hours at an assigned school site and a substitute tutor role that provides on-call coverage when regularly scheduled tutors are unavailable.

Final placement will be determined based on current openings, school needs, and candidate availability.
