Position Overview:
As an Independent Contractor serving as a Law Business Success Coach (“LBSC”) for New Law Business Model (“New Law”), the purpose of this engagement is to support a roster of assigned New Law member Personal Family Lawyers (“PFLs”). The contractor’s responsibility is to oversee all aspects of the member experience for assigned members on the roster, including but not limited to the outcomes listed below.
Support assigned PFLs in adopting and implementing the Personal Family Lawyer model.
Support assigned PFLs in transforming their law practices into business enterprises using proven New Law PFL systems.
Support PFLs in creating and maintaining a steady cash flow.
Keep PFLs on track to achieve designated key benchmarks until they reach their personal definition of success.
Provide coaching services to specifically assigned members under the applicable coaching delivery model.
Maintain and serve a roster of members who may be enrolled in different coaching service models.
Support rostered members to help them achieve their business goals through consistent strategic business-building support and accountability.
Consistently contribute to member accountability, member retention, and client loyalty.
Execute coaching calls with rostered members at the cadence designated by the coaching delivery model in which they are enrolled.
Conduct outreach to members to schedule coaching calls and provide Member support in a timely manner in between coaching calls, where needed, following New Law “best practices”.
Identify any at-risk members who miss scheduled calls, express financial constraints potentially impacting membership, or express dissatisfaction with their experience, and immediately escalate to Coaching Team leadership per department process. Track such cases per New Law policies and procedures.
Respond to Member emails within 48 hours as outlined in our customer service promise (excluding weekends and federal holidays).
Respond to internal communications (Slack/Email) within 48 hours (excluding weekends and federal holidays).
Use the Accountability Navigator, Business Success Planner, Member Dashboard, and other support resources with each Member to help them track their progress and focus on their vision and the specific actions necessary to achieve it.
Support members’ success by encouraging them to use New Law’s resources, including but not limited to: newsletters, website, blog articles, website copy, lead generation magnets, presentations, team training, coaching calls, laser sessions, and the Accountability Navigator for tracking metrics and cash flow projections.
Enter coaching notes within 24 hours of each call into the New Law Client Resource Management System so that progress is documented. Send action items to the Member on the same day as their call.
Ensure accurate reporting and resolution of Member issues using the provided tracking tools.
Support members in completing their monthly survey to track key metrics.
Monitor Member survey results and promptly engage with any Member displaying At-Risk indicators, following established Coaching Department protocols.
Perform other LBSC-related duties and special assignments as needed, and as mutually agreed upon when time and scope allow.
Be on time for all calls and uphold professionalism standards as outlined by New Law.
Participate in special project teams or coordination meetings outside of normal meeting cadence, as mutually agreed, to enhance collaboration and alignment with program goals.
Attend designated monthly Member group coaching calls to represent Member interests (calendar available upon starting).
Following initial training, maintain up-to-date knowledge of membership resources to effectively guide members in utilizing the tools and materials available to support their practice.
Attend monthly 1-1 Call(s) with your coach supervisor(s).
Bring all suggestions and best practices that you discover directly to your supervisor and/or Director of the Coaching Team for implementation so that all coaches can improve.
Collect Member celebrations weekly and post in the Member celebration Slack channel.
Recommend members to the Marketing Manager to use for testimonials in marketing.
The total compensation range for a full roster of members generally falls between $2,400 – $7,200 per month, depending on roster size, member volume, and contract scope.
3–5 years of professional coaching experience, preferably focused on business growth, marketing strategy, or entrepreneurial development.
Strong proficiency with online tools and platforms, and the ability to learn and navigate project management or CRM systems (e.g., Asana, HubSpot) used to support client work.
Comfort and competence in virtual communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace).
Working understanding of business operations and marketing strategy, including client acquisition, lead generation, and retention fundamentals.
Financial literacy and familiarity with business financial concepts, including interpreting and discussing performance data and metrics to guide strategic decisions.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with demonstrated capacity to prioritize multiple projects in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for coaching interactions and collaborative communication with other professionals.
This engagement operates under a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model. Contractors are responsible for providing and maintaining their own computer, internet connection, and other equipment necessary to perform services under this engagement. Minimum technical requirements include a reliable computer with at least 16GB RAM and a stable internet connection suitable for virtual coaching sessions.
New Law provides access to required software, systems, and training resources. Contractors may submit reasonable and necessary business-related expenses for reimbursement, consistent with the terms of the contractor agreement and applicable law.
