We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk - Summer Associate to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support ongoing cases and projects.
- Assist with drafting legal documents such as pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Review and organize case files utilizing document management systems like Clio to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Manage legal case files by entering data, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring timely updates in case management software.
- Proofread and transcribe legal documents to ensure correctness in spelling, grammar, and formatting standards.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing phone etiquette, and handling clerical tasks such as court filing.
Experience
- Currently enrolled in third year at an accredited law school .
- Demonstrated experience with estate planning, family law, litigation, criminal law, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with law office procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis; experience with document review and case management systems like Clio is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents; proofreading and transcription abilities are essential.
- Effective communication skills including professional phone etiquette; ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
