Position Summary
The Lawn Care Crew Member is responsible for performing high-quality mowing, trimming, blowing, and seasonal cleanup services under the direction of the Lawn Care Crew Leader. This role supports the maintenance of residential and commercial properties to company quality standards while following all safety, efficiency, and professionalism guidelines.
Service Delivery
- Learn and follow all company standards, procedures, and client-specific requirements.
- Safely and properly operate lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related tools.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform quality mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing services to company standards.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain strong attention to detail so each property appears clean, professional, and complete.
- Adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, and shifting priorities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Follow direction from the Crew Leader to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Assist the Crew Leader with tracking route start and stop times for hourly jobs.
- Assist with site completion checks and documentation of site issues.
- Assist with recording completed routes and job details as required.
Communication
- Report hazards, incidents, property damage, or equipment issues promptly to Operations Manager.
- Communicate clearly and positively with crew members to support efficient daily operations.
Customer Service
- Represent the company professionally on job sites, while driving, and while on the clock.
- Maintain positive client relationships through professional appearance, courteous interactions, and clean job sites.
- Direct client questions to appropriate staff.
Team Management
- Participate in morning huddles and end-of-week debriefs with the Operations Manager.
- Work cooperatively with crew members to meet daily schedules and uphold company standards.
- Promote and model a positive, safety-focused team environment.
- Communicate concerns or issues to the Crew Leader or Operations Manager as appropriate.
- Assist the Crew Leader with responding to in-field crew questions or issues when needed.
Maintenance
- Assist with daily equipment checks for mowers, trucks, trailers, and handheld equipment.
- Assist with mower cleaning, preventive maintenance, shop organization, and blade sharpening as directed.
- Maintain clean, organized trucks and trailers free of debris and trash.
Qualifications
- Previous lawn care or landscaping experience preferred but not required; training provided.
- Ability to safely and effectively operate commercial mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Physically able to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred; must be 21 or older and have a clean driving record to drive company vehicles.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
