Lawn Care & Grounds Maintenance Specialist

The Lawn Care & Grounds Maintenance Specialist position is responsible for performing all tasks related to commercial and residential lawn care. This entails operating a riding lawn mower, string trimmers, backpack blowers and other equipment.

This position has the potential to turn into a year-round full time job for the right candidate as we are a commercial snow removal and ice management company as well. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train. However, commercial mowing experience or an understanding of the requirements is a must.

Expectations

• Candidates must be available to work from 7 am until at least 5 pm depending on weather conditions, schedule of tasks, work load & team strength
• Shifts can range from 5 to 12 hours, but may require flexibility and additional hours/weekends at times
• Being Dependable & Punctual are crucial to this position
• You must be able to work with the team or on your own with minimal supervision as required
• Must maintain a professional & presentable appearance and demeanor

Requirements

• Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record that is insurable on our company policy
• Must be willing and able to pull trailer with equipment.
• Be a high school graduate (or equivalent)
• Work outdoors in the elements for 8-12 hours per shift
• Must have general knowledge of lawn care equipment such as: commercial lawn mowers, zero turn mowers, string trimmers and blowers.
• Be in good physical condition, able to lift, push or carry 50 to 70 pounds without restriction or any restrictions from previous injuries.
• Must have a positive and professional attitude.
• Must care for and maintain a level of respect for the equipment
• Must be able to take direction and perform assigned tasks - while paying close attention to detail.
• Provide safe, detail-oriented execution of assigned work.
• Understand and carry out all instructions.
• Work well under pressure along with paying attention to all details and goals.
• Have transportation to get to and from work daily
• Cooperate with team members in accomplishing our goals.
