Lawn Care Technician – Outdoor Skilled Trades Position

Dowco Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a dependable Lawn Care Technician to join our team serving residential, commercial, and HOA properties throughout St. Louis County.

This is a hands-on outdoor position for someone who takes pride in quality work, can handle long days in changing weather, and is comfortable working independently after training. The right person will be dependable, safety-minded, and willing to build a long-term career in the lawn care and landscape industry.

About the Position

As a Lawn Care Technician, you will drive an assigned route, visit multiple properties each day, and complete lawn care services professionally and accurately. This role requires someone who can work independently, follow directions, stay organized, and represent Dowco well on client properties.

During busy seasons, this position may require 5 or more days per week and 10–12 hour workdays. Work is performed outdoors in real conditions, including heat, sun, rain, cold weather, and snow.

What You’ll Do

• Drive an assigned route throughout St. Louis County
• Apply lawn care treatments, including fertilizers, herbicides, and related products
• Learn to identify weeds, turf issues, insects, diseases, and property concerns
• Complete work accurately and safely with limited supervision
• Maintain service records and follow application instructions
• Operate equipment safely and responsibly
• Communicate professionally with clients, managers, and team members
• Assist with landscaping or property maintenance work as needed
• Participate in snow removal operations during the winter season, which may include plow trucks, salt application, and weather-related response work

Experience That Helps

Experience is preferred, especially in one or more of the following areas:

• Lawn care applications
• Fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or turf care
• Landscaping, bed maintenance, planting, trimming, or pruning
• Snow removal, plow truck operation, or bulk salt application
• Route-based service work
• Outdoor skilled trades or property maintenance

A Missouri Category 3 Ornamental and Turf Pest Control License is a plus, but not required. We will support the right candidate in obtaining this license.
