Duties

• Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers to ensure healthy, attractive turf
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching beds
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for edging, aerating, fertilizing, and weed control to maintain pristine landscapes
• Assist with hardscape projects such as installing patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
• Operate equipment like excavators and irrigation systems for construction and landscape enhancement projects
• Conduct routine garden care including watering, fertilizing, planting new greenery, and seasonal snow plowing when needed
• Support tree care activities such as trimming or removal to promote safety and aesthetic appeal

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and construction environments
• Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, planting, mulching, and irrigation system installation
• Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of hardscape installation including patios or walkways is a plus
• Experience with tree care activities like trimming or removal preferred
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently (REQUIRED)
• Willingness to learn new skills related to horticulture, gardening, snow plowing or other outdoor maintenance tasks
