Lawn Maintenance Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes mechanical knowledge, landscaping, and general maintenance expertise. You will be responsible for performing various tasks that contribute to the overall maintenance and aesthetic appeal of our properties.

Duties:

• Perform lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass and landscapes
• Execute landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, watering, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and trees
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various maintenance projects
• Utilize equipment such as excavators for larger landscaping projects or snow plowing during winter months
• Carry out tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal as necessary
• Assist in hardscape projects by installing patios, walkways, or retaining walls
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger construction or landscaping projects

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Experience in lawn care practices including mowing, fertilization, and pest control
• Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques such as planting, pruning, and irrigation management
• Familiarity with horticulture principles to ensure plant health and growth
• Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators safely
• Knowledge of snow plowing techniques for winter maintenance tasks
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all maintenance activities
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
