Job Summary:
Baker Landscaping & Concrete, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lawncare Maintenance Foreman to join our team. The Grounds Maintenance Foreman is responsible for supervising crew members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards, and maintaining excellent client satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of landscaping practices, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Trains and manage Lawncare Maintenance Laborers.
- Oversee the daily workflow.
Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily ground maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, and seasonal clean-ups.
- Supervise and train a team of ground maintenance crew members, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols (including proper PPE usage).
- Assign tasks to crew members and monitor progress to ensure work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards.
- Operate and oversee the use of landscaping tools and equipment, ensuring they are maintained and used properly.
- Communicate directly with clients to discuss project updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
- Manage inventory of tools, materials, and supplies required for daily operations.
- Enforce safety guidelines and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Landscaping & Ground Maintenance.
- A Valid Driver’s License (with safe driving record) and willingness to obtain class E.
- Willing to obtain a MO Applicator’s License, Category 3 and/or 6.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Flexible working hours (weekends occasionally).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Work Environment and Conditions:
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Ability to work on uneven terrain, such as dirt, grass, or gravel surfaces.
- Exposure to loud noises from equipment and vehicles.
- May require wearing protective gear such as gloves, safety boots, or reflective vests.
