Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker with certification as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling, behavioral health, and social work, with a passion for providing comprehensive patient care across diverse populations. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual treatment needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral health interventions.
- Implement specialized therapies including motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care for PTSD, addiction counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research standards while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation protocols.
- Coordinate care through case management activities, including intake procedures, patient education, and community resource linkage.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support patients experiencing mental health emergencies or behavioral crises.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and ensure adherence to CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding standards for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patients’ holistic well-being across hospital settings or home-based care environments.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation, and emerging behavioral health research.
Experience
- Proven experience in clinical mental health settings with a focus on psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, and social work practices.
- Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities including developmental delays or autism spectrum disorder.
- Experience in hospital environments or home & community care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation of patient care activities and medical records management.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate diagnosis recording and billing processes.
- Background in crisis intervention strategies and managing complex cases involving PTSD or addiction recovery.
- Additional experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA), special education collaboration, or working within pediatric or geriatrics populations is advantageous.
